Design Optimization of Water Distribution Networks through a Novel Differential Evolution

Optimization algorithms have proven to be a useful tool in different areas of water resource management including distribution network (WDN), which may modelled as large scale, combinatorial problem subject constraints with the typical objective minimizing cost. In this study, fuzzy C-means adaptive differential evolution (FCADE) is proposed solve three well-known WDN problems: two-loop problem, Hanoi and New York tunnel problem. FCADE integrated simulation software EPANET manage pressure requirement. A comparative analysis results through various performance metrics indicate competence for solving complex problems.
